Spooky Blueberry Cacao Hand Pies

Ingredients:

1 box store-bought pie dough (2 sheets)

1/2 cup Butter Than Jam Blueberry Cacao Dream fruit spread

1 large egg

1/4 cup cane sugar

1 tsp cacao powder

Flour, for dusting

Instructions:

1. Prep the Dough:

• Remove the pie dough from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature to soften slightly.

• Lightly flour your work surface. Roll out one sheet of dough until the edges are smooth. Repeat with the second sheet.

2. Assemble the Pies:

• Spread the Butter Than Jam Blueberry Cacao Dream fruit spread onto one sheet of dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

• Top with the second sheet of dough, pressing the edges together to seal.

• Use Halloween-themed cookie cutters to cut out shapes from the dough.

3. Prepare the Topping:

• Egg Wash: Beat the egg in a small bowl.

Cacao Sugar: In a separate small bowl, whisk together the cane sugar and cacao powder.

4. Bake the Pies:

• Preheat your oven to 400°F.

• Place the cut-out shapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

• Brush the tops of the pies with the egg wash.

• Sprinkle the tops with the cacao sugar.

• Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until golden brown.
