Double Dream Thumbprints: Blueberry & Cacao 🫐

Ingredients:

  • For the cookies:
    • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
    • ½ cup granulated sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
    • ½ teaspoon salt
  • For the filling:
    • ½ cup Butter Than Jam Blueberry Cacao Dream fruit spread

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will make cleanup a breeze!
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Don't overmix!
  4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a couple of inches between each cookie for spreading.
  5. Using your thumb or the back of a teaspoon measuring spoon, gently make an indentation in the center of each cookie.
  6. Fill each indentation with ½ teaspoon of fruit spread or until the center is completely filled.
  7. Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tip: Sprinkle some coarse sugar on top before baking for an extra sparkly touch! ✨
