Cookie Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup Butter Than Jam Apple Cinnamon Bliss Fruit Butter
Topping:
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Glaze:
- 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Butter Than Jam Apple Cinnamon Bliss Fruit Butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- splash of milk
Instructions:
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
-
Using an electric mixer, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
-
Beat in the eggs one at a time. Then, mix in the vanilla extract and the star of the show: ½ cup of Butter Than Jam Apple Cinnamon Bliss Fruit Butter! Mix until just incorporated. Finally, gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
-
Fold the dough into a ball and place it in a covered bowl, wrapped tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Chilling the dough will help prevent the cookies from spreading too thin while baking, resulting in a thicker, chewier cookie.
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
-
In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon for a delightful topping. Set aside until cookie dough is ready.
-
Use a tablespoon cookie scoop and portion out the cookies with 2 tablespoons. Gently, roll each ball in your hands. Then, roll each one in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, making sure they're evenly coated.
-
Place the cookie dough balls on your prepared baking sheets, leaving space between them for spreading.
-
Bake the cookies for 20 minutes, or until they have a light golden brown color around the edges and on top.
-
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. While the cookies cool, prepare the glaze. In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, powdered sugar, Butter Than Jam Apple Cinnamon Bliss Fruit Butter, vanilla extract, milk and a pinch of salt.
- Once the cookies have cooled slightly, use a spoon to drizzle them with the warm glaze. Let the glaze set before enjoying!
Tip: If you have extra cinnamon-sugar topping, you can sprinkle some of it over the drizzled cookies. ✨
